This process will be followed by a series of small projects designed to help the student turn weaknesses to strengths, and strengths to mastery in terms of comprehension and communication of the information. Progress through this stage of the program is necessarily less objective than the rest of the CLC program. Progress through mentoring depends on the individual student and is measured by Dr Graham.

What does "Project(s) tailored to the individual" involve?

The CLC2 projects are determined by the CLC students, by submitting the project's aims, objectives and scope to education@foodnsport.com to seek approval, much like other graduate programs.

Once approval is obtained, the student may begin the project.

The project should be a valuable application of the knowledge attained during the CLC program.

As a rough guideline, a suitable project should require approximately 100 hours of effort, and should translate into a report of 5,000 to 10,000 words. Equivalent efforts on projects in other forms of media such as video will also be considered for suitability.

Multiple smaller projects may be considered as an alternative to a single CLC2 project.

A CLC facilitator will be available to assist students in determining a suitable project.

Regardless of expected duration or size of the project, the ultimate decision to accept a CLC2 project as suitable, lies with the facilitators of the CLC program.

Once submitted, the project will be graded by the CLC facilitators.

The grading will result in the project either being:
  • accepted, indicating successful completion of the project; or
  • returned to the student with constructive feedback to be applied to the project before resubmission.
The student will be permitted up to 3 rounds of project submisssion before being disqualified from CLC2 certification.

How do I regain CLC3 certification after letting it expire?

At the time of writing the oral exam is $500US. The oral exam will take about one hour and may be taken at the same time as the CEU, so as not to incur extra travel.

Upon passing the oral exam and completing the CEU, a new CLC3 certificate with an updated expiration date will be sent to the student and they will be once again registered on the FoodnSport website as being CLC3 certified.
