OK - so first let me say that I am very thankful for the board but in answer to your request for comments on the workings of the board I will say this and I may be the only one... I find the number of categories and the labeling of the categories very overwhelming.
For example I didn't realize there was a space for food/recipes and then found there are 3 separate ones:
Human Animal > Food
Human Animal > LFRV Lifestyle
The Arts (culinary)
This scatters out ideas all over the place...

It's also confusing because sometimes there are a bunch of sub groups within a sub group and other times there aren't.

To me it would be nice if there was one place for food/recipes, one place for 811 basic program questions, one place for exercise, one place for difficulties you are trying to resolve through 811, and then one last place for off topic (which would be anything from animal rights, religion/nature of things, music/dance). And that would be about it.
The reason I mention this is I am struggling to deal with candida and would love help but don't know if I should put it in lifestyle, anatomy, emotional... and I posted something actually somewhere and now can't figure out where I posted.
So anyway, that is my thought on that.

Thanks for the input and suggestions. I'll see what I can do to reorganize. I like the general nature of your areas suggested. It may take a while to decide how I will go about it.

In the meantime, don't worry about having posted something in the wrong place. The moderators (me at present) can move your post to where it should be if it's in the wrong area. If that happens you will be notified with a personal message.

In terms of finding where your post went, you can look up a user's posts in their profile, including your own. Here's a link to view yours directly.

You also might find sorting the active topics useful in navigating the site. When signed in you will find on every page below your logout links and above the posts a line of the following helpful links:
View unanswered posts
View active topics
View unread posts
View new posts
View your posts

The last one is another place to look up your posts easily.

I hope that helps and thanks for the feedback! :)

I agree that simplifying is the right thing for a forum. And too many sub-forums spreads out the posters, making it seem there are even fewer people then there are. And that dis-sways people from joining.

This forum should be the biggest raw forum. It needs a boost. I've recently returned to do my part. :B_jumprope:
