I was just listening to Dr. G talk about fasting to heal injury. It seems counterintuitive-- but could fasting help heal a "bone bruise" or partial fracture?

Thanks!

During fasting, there is minimal energy being devoted to the task of digesting, absorbing, utilizing and eliminating the elements in food. Wouldn't it be safe to think that during this period, the body would have more energy to direct towards the task of healing and repairing essential tissue such as bone, especially if the bone is injured/broken?
What spurred the question? Do you currently have a partial fracture somewhere, J?

Best regards,
Luke
