Is it alright to do a water fast for a week on my own?

Is it alright to eat the seeds of a watermelon?

Thanks,

Anne

I do not recommend unsupervised water fasting, nor any type of fasting other than a hygienic fast where you consume water only, and do as little as possible otherwise, while supervised by an experienced natural hygienist qualified to supervise such a fast. I have seen a lot of progress enjoyed by those who undertake a properly supervised fast. Check out this archived newsletter for more information and articles about fasting from FoodnSport.

I know of people who eat watermelon seeds at times as they don't bother to remove them. I believe Dr. Graham is one of them. I can't remember for sure about that though. I do not like the taste personally so don't eat them. I wouldn't recommend eating them alone.

I have heard a few stories of people who fasted on their own which resulted in them in hospital.
For a medium to long term fast you certainly want it to be supervised.
How well each individual responds to the fast really depends on personal history and health status when entering the fast and I wouldn't encourage anyone to fast on their own without having any idea of their current situation.
Hope this helps!

Can you still exercise when water fasting? When I have to fast to have a medical procedure done, I still try to run. I end up getting light-headed and sick, then I'm so hungry I feel like I need to throw up. Does this pass? I just don't see how one can exercise a lot while just consuming water.

Hi!
The fasting process is very much equal to resting and so when you do fasting you should not exercise.
But now it also depends why you are fasting.
If you are fasting to give your body time to rebuild itself, then you should better rest because the goal of fasting is not to not eat but rather to give your body a good rest and time to heal.
If you happen to be fasting only for a few hours because of a medical intervention of just because you haven't eaten yet that day or not hungry then it really depends how your body feels.
If you're not feeling good because you exercise while having been fasting for a few hours then by all means you should probably avoid it.
That been said it's better to exercise on an empty stomach so in a way you're kind of always fasting as long as you're not eating ;-)
Bottom line is if I were you I would not exercise in any case just before a medical procedure, especially while fasting.
Running on an empty stomach is certainly ok but if you feel any symptoms from doing that you might want to try eating something light half an hour to an hour before running.

You can do water fasting because there are many people who are on water fasting. A human body contain 80% water so by this you can imagine who water is important for every alive things. It help to burn large amount of calories and body fat. With this do some exercise workout to convert body fat into strong and flexible muscles.

Today is my first day of water fasting. Ive been called by God to re-boot the body He created. I need to get healthy and spiritually strong again.

Please pray for me as I will for you all.

Thanks,

zac
