A Busy Life Can Be A Good Life

There has been so much planning and exciting news here in the FoodnSport office that we almost forgot another eNews!

Be sure to follow us on social media to keep up.

We've been discussing two topics around our office lately: Persistence and Environment. It's common when we are inspired to make changes in our lives to take on many at once. This can lead us to expecting too much too soon for ourselves, resulting in not achieving our goals, quitting from overwhelm, or just plain getting distracted.

You may want to start getting 60 minutes of exercise every day or going to the gym 4 times a week. You may want to eat raw for all your meals. Then, you may find it very, very challenging.

You know what we say to that? "It's okay. It's okay to be challenged. It's okay to struggle. It's okay to fail."

The only way to grow, to change, is to struggle. That is where environment comes in. Surrounding yourself with positive messages, with healthy tips, with compassion is the key to success.

Dr. Graham wants to meet you on your journey where you are! That is a fact. Don't be shy with him or us. Don't feel badly about yourself for not living up to some ideal in your head. Just open yourself to the positive messages and try to make the higher choices for yourself. (Stolen from our own Chef Alicia, Thanks Alicia)

Think about making the higher choice for yourself, about making some new friends, learning some new tips, challenging yourself physically, and joining one of the retreats.

We have folks who come back year to year or every few years. Want to know why? Because a week at a FoodnSport retreat recharges and revitalizes them so much that it makes the time and money more than worth it. It's an investment in a happy and healthy life.
