A delicious 3-ingredient smoothie with an optional crunchy twist… mulberry crumbles!
Stick some fruit or dried fruit in your smoothie and grab a spoon, for a fun twist. There’s also the added benefit of slowing down and enjoying each mouthful, as oppose to guzzling a smoothie in seconds.
Ingredients (Adjust amounts and proportions to taste):
1 C blueberries: fresh, dried, or frozen
7-10 medium Bananas (any variety you like): fresh or frozen
1 C dried mulberries (optional)
drinking water (as needed to blend smooth)
Equipment:
blender
Food processor to grind mulberries (optional, some blenders will handle this too)
knife
spoon
Directions:

- If a crumble crust is desired, put dried mulberries in food processor with the S-blade (or a blender that can handle it), and run them alone and dry a bit to break them up into a crumbly crunchy yumminess. Remove and set aside.

- If using fresh blueberries, set aside a few for garnishing and/or mixing in afterward.

- Place bananas, blueberries and water in blender and blend until smooth, adding water to achieve desired smoothie thickness.

- If not serving right away, refrigerate until serving.

- (optional at serving time): Sprinkle dried mulberry crumbles on top to create a “crust” along with a few whole fresh blueberries if available and serve.
