80/10/10 isn’t about eating less than 10% of total calories from fat and from protein in every meal, or even every day, but rather as an average over the course of a month. Even for the week, Grant’s fat intake was still below 10% of total calories despite the quantity of durian consumed on this day.
Grant Campbell (aka Raw Aussie Athlete), ultramarathoner, fruit connoisseur and our very own Director of Education has been an 80/10/10 raw vegan since 2005 and a devoted vegan since 1999.
What then, does a seasoned fruit lover and elite athlete eat in a day? Let’s take a look!
Recently in Chanthaburi Thailand, Grant took advantage of the locally grown tropical fruit. Grant also typically enjoys many of the local Thai vegetables including amazing cucumber, iceberg lettuce, tomato, okra, asparagus and water spinach (aka kang kong).

- It is easy to stay hydrated without cooked food.
- Simple food preparation without sweating over a hot stove.
- Eating seasonally gives him delicious foods to look forward to regardless of the season..
